Camarillo, Calif., Sept. 23—Students at 91³Ō¹Ļ will hold a screening of the movie ā€œGo,ā€ to raise awareness about the displacement of families and the devastation of the long-term war in northern Uganda.

The screening event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29 in Malibu Hall 100. There will be a question and answer discussion following the film. The event is free and the campus community and public are invited.

The filmmakers of ā€œGoā€ established the non-profit organization of Invisible Children, Inc. following their visit to Africa and the production of their film ā€œInvisible Children: Rough Cut.ā€ This film exposed the tragic realities of northern Uganda’s night commuters and child soldiers. The film was originally shown to friends and family, but has now been seen by millions of people. The overwhelming response has been, "How can I help?" Invisible Children, Inc. was created, giving compassionate individuals an effective way to respond to the situation.

Invisible Children, Inc. works to transform apathy into activism. The organization’s media creates an opportunity for people to become part of a grassroots movement that intelligently responds to what’s happening in the world.

The screening event is sponsored by CSUCI’s Student Programming Board of ASI, and all funds raised through sales of Invisible Children merchandise will support Ugandan families affected by displacement.

Limited parking is available on campus and is $6 for a daily permit. Free parking is available at the Camarillo Metrolink Station/Lewis Road parking lot in Camarillo with shuttle service to and from the campus. Riders should board the CSUCI VISTA Bus and the fare is $1 each way. Buses arrive and depart from the Camarillo Metrolink Station every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. For exact times, check the schedule at .
