Camarillo, Calif., May 7, 2009—91³Ô¹Ï will hold its seventh Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 16 in the South Quad of the University’s campus. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The University has identified 630 students that have signed up for participation in this year’s Commencement ceremony, including those earning their undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as those earning teaching credentials. CSUCI anticipates an audience of close to 8,000 who will attend the Commencement ceremony.

Keynote remarks will be made by CSU Trustees A. Robert Linscheid and Lou Monville, University President Richard R. Rush, and graduating Student Government President Alexandra Mitchell.  Alumna Kristi Adame, Class of 2007, will sing the national anthem and the ceremony will conclude with the singing of the Alma Mater led by graduating senior Andrew Antone.

On campus parking for the event is limited to those who have special-issue Commencement parking passes. Each student who has applied to participate in the ceremony has been issued two parking passes. Additional parking is located at the Camarillo Metrolink Station (Lewis Road) and in public parking lots in Old Town Camarillo (Ventura Boulevard). Continuous complimentary shuttle service from the Metrolink Station to CSUCI will begin at 7:30 a.m.
