Tuesday, March 10—Students present “Every 15 Minutes”
As part of a student project in drunk-driving prevention and awareness, students will hold a mock DUI collision, staged as a part of Alcohol Awareness Week, at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday March 10 on Ventura St. between the Anacapa and Santa Cruz Village housing complexes.
The event includes a dramatization of extracting a DUI collision victim from a mangled vehicle using the Jaws of Life by the Ventura County Fire Department, and is designed to show students and the campus community the perils of drinking and driving. This is the second year for the mock collision which drew crowds of students to the front of the Bell Tower last spring, and is a great example of how students at CSUCI are exposed to integrative and experiential learning.
