Sept. 23, 2024 - October marks the 20th anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Every day we rely on talented individuals to ensure the technologies that fuel our lives stay safe and secure, so we can trust that our data won’t be modified or stolen. If you would like the opportunity to hear from these professionals, Information Security is hosting an all-day event on Oct. 4 featuring a number of guest speakers who work in the field of cybersecurity.

Guest speakers include:

  • IBM Security expert Michael Melore explores AI use in our response to evolving security challenges.
  • CSUCI Alumni James Piedrasanta (’24) will share his findings from a capstone project focused on enhancing security awareness for college students.
  • CompTIA Chief Evangelist Dr. James Stanger and Unisys CISO Gary Landau will discuss the current threat landscape and how to protect our privacy and personal data.
  • FBI Special Agent Angelica Lee and Computer Scientist Julian Paul will provide a behind-the-scenes look into their approach to solving national cybersecurity cases.
