WHAT:  Leonard will present a talk on the explosion of massive stars, called supernovae, and will advance different theories, including his own, as to the physical causes underpinning this phenomenon. The speaker is a National Science Foundation Astronomy and Astrophysics Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology.
