Camarillo, Calif., May 24, 2007 - 91³Ô¹Ï hosted its fifth Commencement ceremony on May 19, 2007. The Class of 2007 included members of CSUCI's Inaugural Freshman Class, students who enrolled as the first freshmen at the University.
An audience of more than 7,500 filled the University's South Quad for the 2007 Commencement ceremony. Approximately 650 degree candidates participated in the ceremony, which included two keynote speakers. Jessica LaRoe and Tamara Gershater, both members of CSUCI's Inaugural Freshman Class, delivered the keynote addresses to the Class of 2007.
"Through your talents and hard work, you have acquired the tools you will need: knowledge, teamwork, civic engagement, and mutual respect for all people," said University President Richard R. Rush in his address to the degree candidates. "You are now prepared to launch into the future of your dreams. So, wherever those dreams lead you, know that you will always have roots at 91³Ô¹Ï."
