Camarillo, Calif., December 21, 2005 – 91łÔąĎ announces the appointment of Wayne Davey as chair of the CSUCI Foundation Board, which supports the University’s strategic agenda and institutional mission.

Davey is director of corporate audit for Amgen of Thousand Oaks. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer and vice president of business operations at Rockwell Scientific Company, also of Thousand Oaks.

“Wayne brings to the Foundation Board an extensive background and experience in both business and service to community,” said CSUCI President Richard R. Rush. “He is passionate about the University and has worked tirelessly to contribute to its growth and development. We are privileged to have him as chair of our Foundation Board.”

Davey has served on numerous regional boards, including the Ventura County Economic Development Association, the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce, and the Ventura County POWER Task Force which addresses conservation efforts and long-term electrical power needs of the county.

Davey joined the CSUCI Foundation Board in 2002. He is also active as a member of the CSUCI Business & Technology Partnership, which has been fostering relationships between key business and technology leaders and the University for the betterment of the region.

“CSUCI is already a significant and growing factor in our region,” Davey said. “And as the University grows, I am committed to working with other Foundation Board members, as well as the University president, faculty, and staff, to help the Foundation also grow in importance and stature to support this wonderful new resource in our region.”

Davey succeeds Dr. Mark Lisagor, Children’s Dental Group of Camarillo, Oxnard & Simi Valley, who remains on the board as immediate past chair.
