Camarillo, Calif., January 30, 2006 – The 2006 Business & Technology Partnership (B&TP) Leadership Dinner, sponsored by the 91³Ô¹Ï Foundation and the Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, will be held Tuesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
The B&TP promotes and fosters regional collaboration between the University and Ventura, Santa Barbara, and northern Los Angeles County businesses, and promotes technological excellence among the University’s students, faculty, and staff. Each year, the B&TP honors local business persons and University faculty members, as well as awards scholarships to deserving students.
The B&TP is asking members of the community for nominations for the 2006 Business Leader of the Year Award and the 2006 Technologist of the Year Award. Criteria for nominations and forms are available on the University’s Web site, www.csuci.edu/btp. Deadline for nominations is December 15.
In addition, the B&TP committee will select its 2006 Faculty Leader of the Year.
Proceeds from the dinner fund scholarships for University students. Last year, three $2,500 scholarships were awarded. This year, five $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to CSUCI transfer and junior status students.
