Camarillo, Calif. - The sultry and electrifying sounds of jazz, Dixieland music and a colorful spectrum of talented artists will fill the City of Camarillo during the Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival, August 4-6, 2006.
What has become the largest event in Camarillo, the Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival is expanded to a three-day event this year and welcomes a prestigious line up of well-known musicians and artists that will entertain and delight visitors over the entire weekend period.Ā The David Sanborn Group, featuring six-time Grammy winner David Sanborn, kicks off the 2006 Festival.

General Admission, $45; Preferred, $60 per person including box lunch and preferred seating.Ā VIP, $150 per person, including āmeet and greetā reception with Rick Braun, catered lunch in the Camarillo House and VIP seating.
The Artists
Over 80 artists from all over California and beyond, will display and sell their works of art in the quad behind Studio Channel Islands Art Center on Friday August 4th from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, August 5th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The juried art event will be open to patrons of the Opening Night Gala as well as the ticket holders for the general admission, music only. On Saturday, the Artists in Residence at Studio Channel Islands Art Center will welcome attendees to browse through the selections of artwork and meet and greet the artists.Ā An additional Artwalk will be set up in Old Town Camarillo on the sidewalks and within businesses along Ventura Boulevard as well as in Dizdar Park, all day Saturday. Attending artists will exhibits works of arts in watercolors, oils, wearable art, tapestry, jewelry, photography, ceramics and much more.
