New and current CSUCI students are welcome to apply for DASS Academic Accommodations at any time.

Accommodations are not given automatically by the University. Students must choose to share their disability and are responsible for applying for DASS services.

Apply for Academic Accommodations for the First Time

Step 1: Gather your Supporting Documentation

  • Before starting your application, make sure to gather supporting documentation that verifies your disability.
  • Applications without documentation will be placed on hold, and medical forms completed by students will not be reviewed.

Step 2: Submit the

  • If you did not submit your supporting documentation with your application, email it to accommodations@csuci.eduas soon as possible.

Step 3: Meet with a DASS Counselor to review your application.

  • DASS will contact you to schedule a meeting once your application is complete.
  • Note: Academic Accommodations and Housing Accommodations have two different application processes. For , students are encouraged to apply by the deadline.

Step 4: Activate your Academic Accommodations

  • Once you've completed Step 3, you're officially registered with DASS and do not need to reapply during your time at CSUCI.
  • Each semester, you will activate your academic accommodations in the DASS Portal.
